Another Anniversary

You're the rose in my garden

my sun amidst the clouds

the cherry on my ice cream

and the icing on my cake.

You light up my darkness

and bring warmth to my day,

you're my rock that never budges,

holds grudges or judges.

Like a precious stone 

found deep underground,

you show me love that's

unconditional and rare.

When windows slam shut,

you open a door.
